International Women’s Day is always a powerful reminder of the strength, leadership and connection that happens when women come together. This year, nearly 200 leaders, professionals and community members gathered at Navarra Venues' stunning Curzon Hall for The Lisa Harnum Foundation.

Women, Wellbeing and Influence event, an afternoon dedicated to meaningful conversations around women’s health, leadership and community impact.
As a Cyr Wheel artist and the Founder of Cirqular Entertainment, Kylie Simpson was honoured to perform as part of this inspiring celebration.
A Powerful Gathering of Women and Allies
The event brought together an incredible panel of speakers sharing their expertise and experiences in women’s health, leadership and wellbeing.
The panel featured:
Aggie Cox from Hologic
Renae Lopez Buckley from Sydney Breast Clinic
Sonya Furlong from Centre for Life Therapies
Heather Hinz
Madison Ayson from Sydney FC
The discussion was beautifully moderated by Nalini Reddy, guiding thoughtful conversations about influence, resilience and the importance of supporting women in leadership.

A Cyr Wheel Performance Celebrating Strength and Movement
As part of the program, I performed a Cyr Wheel act, combining athleticism, artistry and storytelling. Cyr wheel is a discipline that requires precision, strength and flow, and it felt incredibly special to share this performance with such an inspiring audience.
Performing internationally as a Cyr Wheel and Aerial Artist, I have had the privilege of presenting this unique art form across the world, including theme parks, theatre productions and major events.
This performance at Curzon Hall was particularly meaningful because it celebrated not only artistry, but the spirit of women supporting and uplifting one another.
Supporting Women Escaping Domestic Violence
Beyond the inspiration and connection in the room, the event also had a deeper purpose. Funds were raised for The Lisa Harnum Foundation to support a safe house in Ryde for women and children leaving domestic violence situations.
A heartfelt thank you to Rotary Club of Ryde and Anna Lindsay for their support and commitment to creating real change in the community.
A Community Effort
Events like this are only possible thanks to passionate organisers, collaborators and sponsors.
Special thanks to:
Jane Thorpe for hosting the afternoon with warmth and professionalism
Randall Walker from Navarra Venues for bringing me on board

And gratitude to the incredible sponsors and partners who made the event possible:
Sydney FC
Hologic
Navarra Venues
The event was also live streamed by 2RRR, allowing the conversations and inspiration to reach an even wider audience.
When Women Support Women, Communities Grow Stronger
International Women’s Day events like Women, Wellbeing and Influence show the power of community. When women come together to share knowledge, support one another and create opportunities for change, the impact goes far beyond a single event.
It was a privilege to contribute to such a meaningful afternoon through performance and creativity.
At Cirqular Entertainment, we believe in creating experiences that bring people together, celebrate talent and spark connection, whether through circus performance, corporate events or community celebrations.
Because when women support one another, communities grow stronger.
