It’s been a busy month for Cirqular Entertainment’s Kylie Simpson, with four different circus disciplines performed across four weeks at some of Sydney’s most recognisable event venues.
From aerial performance high above guests to dynamic ground-based circus entertainment, Kylie has performed:

● Cyr wheel at Luna Park Sydney
● Lollipop lyra at Doltone House
That’s four out of five of Kylie’s current performance disciplines in just four weeks!
One Performer, Four Completely Different Event Experiences
What makes this run particularly exciting isn’t simply the number of performances. It’s how different each event has been.
Every event has its own audience, venue, atmosphere, schedule and creative brief. Great event entertainment needs to respond to those differences rather than simply dropping the same performance into every room.
For Kylie, that means combining her work as a professional circus performer, producer and choreographer to create entertainment that complements each individual event.
Aerial silks can create a breathtaking visual focal point above guests. Aerial hoop brings elegance, strength and spectacle. Cyr wheel transforms an open floor into a dynamic performance space. Lollipop lyra offers the impact of aerial-style performance in venues where traditional aerial rigging may not be suitable. Stilt walking takes the performance directly into the crowd, creating spontaneous interaction and connection.

Creating More Than a Circus Performance
The performance itself is only one part of delivering successful entertainment for a corporate event, gala, celebration or special event.
Behind the scenes, Kylie works with event organisers, producers, venues and technical teams to understand the event brief and determine how each performance can best contribute to the guest experience.
That can involve adapting choreography, selecting the right apparatus, developing performance timing, considering audience sightlines, creating or selecting costumes and integrating entertainment into the wider event schedule.
The goal isn’t simply to perform an impressive circus act. It's to make the entertainment feel like it belongs at the event.

Performing across The Star Sydney, Home Sydney, Luna Park Sydney and Doltone House within a matter of weeks has also meant connecting with incredibly diverse audiences.
Those interactions remain one of Kylie’s favourite parts of performing.
From the first reaction as an aerialist appears above the room to a guest stopping to interact with a stilt walker, live circus entertainment has an ability to break down barriers and create shared moments between people.
Receiving wonderful responses from audiences, positive feedback from clients and working collaboratively with event teams has made this recent run particularly rewarding.
